Brian’s soulful voice has been acclaimed and compared favorably to Darius Rucker of Hootie and the Blowfish, Muddy Waters, and is said to be a rock version of Jack Johnson. Brian went to work immediately as a full time musician after graduating from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.
In 2012, Brian Bortnick interpreted Frank Sinatra in The Eagle Theater’s sold out show of My Way, an ambitious repertoire of songs made famous by the man fondly remembered as “The Voice”.
Prior to My Way, Brian starred in such presentations as Tommy and Rent. He also led the orchestra in a recent production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
At the 2004 Philadelphia Music Awards, Brian was voted the “Best Male Vocalist” and also won the coveted title of “Best Original Band” with Octane.
